Scholarships 2024
The foundation received 60 grant applications, 42 of which led to a positive outcome. The grant amount to be distributed is a total of €130,000, in addition to which a separate 2,500 € Mauri Elovainio grant based on a testamentary donation received in the current year was distributed, which was allocated to a project related to French vocal music, to the Academy student's studies in France or, alternatively, to the studies of a French student at the Sibelius Academy.
The Mauri Elovainio grant was awarded to Allan Sääski.
The grants awarded from the funds of the foundation's scholarship fund varied between €6,000 and €1,000. The average value of the grants was €3,154. The 2024 grant recipients are:
