The official title of the Foundation is Selim Eskelinin säätiö (‘the Selim Eskelin Foundation’). The Foundation is situated in the city of Helsinki.
The business identity code is 0116421-8.
The permission for establishment was given and the regulations confirmed on 11th October, 1938.
The Foundation was entered on the Foundation Registry on 18th November, 1939.
The most recent amendment to the Foundation’s by-laws was approved on 26th October, 2017.
The Foundation is entitled to accept donations and bequests.
Using the assets at its disposal, the Foundation’s purpose is to award scholarships in support of promising students of composition, singing, organ and piano playing, as well as enable students of the Sibelius Academy to settle in Helsinki.
