The Selim Eskelin Foundation was established in accordance with the last will and testament of Selim Konstantin Eskelin (1867 – 1938). Eskelin was a cantor and director musices from the Finnish city of Kotka.  The Foundation provides financial support for students of the Sibelius Academy.

To this end, the Foundation grants scholarships and rents apartments to students.

 

Each year the board of the Foundation approves the budget for scholarships awarded. The annual deadline for applications is 15th October.

 

The Foundation owns five apartments, comprising a total of twelwe rented rooms, in the central Helsinki district of Töölö.
